This page will be a place where anyone who wants to can post a little info about themselves. Anything you want: Jobs, schools, interests, wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriend's, kids, etc. All the latest news. Just so that other family members that may not be so close can get to know you better. Think of it as a mini MySpace page.
Also, if someone from your past decides to do a web search on you, they will probably pull up this page near the top of the list. So include anything you think someone from your distant past might find interesting. Basically, what you've been up to for the last ten, twenty, or thirty years. Just send me the info, and I'll post it. Simple as that.
And include a photo.

Lindsey Amity (York) Kidwell
Born June 5, 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona
Daughter of Blayde and Sally York
Married to Skyler Kidwell
Two daughters:
Chloe Ann Kidwell (3 yo)
Rindy Lee kidwell (6 mo)
I’m 25 and have been married 6 years. We have two kids (Chloe and Rindy) and a dog named Tidus and a cat we call Kiki. We bought our home in April 2008 through Habitat For Humanity, we love it here! I worked as a Vet Tech for a few years, but when we started to plan a family I became a stay at home mom.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Az, the daughter of the notorious Blayde =)
I’m weird like my dad, scary over cutsie any day... I like the good old music I was raised with, Beatles (from my mom) and I would prefer the Kinks over the Rolling Stones... But the Stones are great too… (obviously that’s my dad in me).
I love tattoos’ and piercings, I have a few of each, but one day I plan on full back art and sleeves as well. If anyone has art (family created) to send me I will most definitely consider it for my body art. I have my ears "2 gauge" and my eye brow pierced (it’s a type of body art as well). I’m not incredibly girly. I love the punk style. My newer type of music I’m into is emo/punk/alternative/rock/industrial. I’m a "gamer", I play mmorpg's (massive multi player online role playing game) with my hubby, specifically Final Fantasy 11.
I’m a Christian. I like Tazo tea. I’m bleached blonde. Kinda off the wall exotic. Favorite colors are more dark like red, blue, purple and "shade is black". I’m nice, and trusting, caring and kind. Or at least I would like to think so. I will help you if you ask and offer if you don’t. Love to play guitar hero and "ps3 video game". I love to spend time with my family. I love road trips. I’m thrifty...
Umm... I could go on forever...

Work:
Intern, SUNY New Paltz, Oct. 08-Present

Also interned at STOP Domestic Violence, Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center
of Northeastern New York/Third Age Adult Day Care and St. Francis Hospital

I am currently an interning therapist at the State University of New York College at New Paltz (aka SUNY New Paltz for those who are New Yorkers). I carry a caseload and do therapy for college students. I graduate with my masters in May and then move on to trying to get a job to get my licensure in Mental Health Counseling.
I’m currently living in Poughkeepsie, NY which is about an hour south of where my parents live. I’m living out here with two roommates that are in the same program as me. I’m looking to move again once I graduate to find work, or move wherever the work finds me.I’m really passionate about women’s rights and ending violence against women. I worked for a domestic violence agency here in Poughkeepsie for a little over a year, called Grace Smith House. There I was a family court advocate who had an office at Dutchess County Family Court and completed petitions for orders of protection for women and men experiencing domestic violence. I also accompanied those women to court for moral and emotional support and did domestic violence counseling. I loved my job but sadly had to leave it in order to complete my internship and ultimately my masters. I also interned at a domestic violence agency in Plattsburgh, NY and was a certified rape crisis counselor (CRCC) for a little over a year. These are big areas of interest for me and something I fight for out of the work arena. I’m also passionate about animal rights and the environment. I’m also really interested in working with grief, adolescents, geriatrics, AIDS related services and the severely mentally ill. I’m also looking into incorporating creative arts therapy into my practice.
Now for some lighter stuff… My favorite things are yoga, collage, playing with clay, politics, being with my friends and family, taking pictures, baking, knowledge, watching movies, reading, knitting, tattoos and piercings (I have 2 tattoos and 11 piercings), going to museums, traveling (when I get the chance), my dogs, going to shows and shopping (when I’m not a poor college student). My favorite types of movies are dark comedies, independent films, drama, period pieces and (often times) vulgar comedies. My favorite music is rock, alternative, hard rock, indie rock, classic rock, basically I love rock music. My favorite types of books are memoirs and non-fiction. Some of my favorite tv shows are Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother, the Office, Weeds, That 70’s Show and Pushing Daisies.
I’ve just realized how long this has become, I’m sorry for that, but this is me.
