We're all getting older, a little wiser, and a little bit longer in the tooth these days. Our mortality is catching up with us. Sadly, Janice passed away on November 11, 2005 from cancer. She was 49 years old - the first of the twelve to make that long journey home. We will all miss her.
It seems like it was only yesterday we were all little kids, running around Grandma's house on East 4th Street, or hiking through the woods of New Hampshire and having one adventure after another. We're all parents ourselves now, some of us grandparents. We've all grown up and gone our different ways - Ricky out to Idaho, Blayde to Arizona, and me in Oregon (via Minnesota). Jimmy and Danny tried Colorado for a while, then eventually settled in Upstate New York, as did Janice. A bunch wound up in sunny Florida - Judy, Jeanne, and Suzie. Kerry, Lisa, and Melanie stayed put on good old Long Island.
Here's some photos of what we all look like now. A little later, I'll add some info on what we're all doing.
Jim, Brian, Blayde, and Dan at Jessica's wedding in Zumbro Falls, MN, 2006. An awful lot of grey hair in this picture. What a difference from the photo above. How come all the girls didn't get grey? Even Aunt Dot still has brown hair. I don't get it. Must be the estrogen, I guess. Photo provided by Jessica.
Judy, Ricky, Janice, and Jeanne at Janice's son, Jesse's, wedding, October, 2005. Janice died less than one month later. Photo provided by Judy.
